Its good to be accepting that one day you'll stop breathing. Without knowing you or your situation, I would suggest you really try some self searching about why you are so concerned. Are you obsessed about a perfect body or material wealth? What are your goals in life? And really, the point of your question is why are you afraid to die?

B/c no one thats died has been able to come back to tell us what happens, its a total faith issue. Maybe there isnt a god. But maybe one of the world's religions have found a way. While its popular to say today that they basically say all the same thing, when you look at them just a little, they are totally different in how man attains salvation.

In Hinduism and Buddhism you are re-encarnated according to your 'karma' or past works.
Judaism is waiting on the Messiah to come to grant salvation.
Christians believe Jesus was the Messiah and asking forgiveness grants salvation.
Islam says Jesus wasnt the Messiah but every person will be judged according to their good and bad works.

Its healthy to acknowledge death, but its unhealthy to be so obsessed with it you forget to enjoy life.

I get freaked out by this sometimes too. What if we just cease to exist? I can't imagine just stopping. It's very unsettling. I wish I was one of those super religious people who are sooooo sure that the golden gates will open and all their loved ones will welcome them to heaven...but damn it all, I'm not. I try to avoid thinking about it and live as happy a life as I can. It's not much when you consider eternity awaits my nothingness but what else can I do? Drink wine and eat chocolate. Or hey I know! When we die I'll meet you at a coffee shop and we'll decide where to go, deal?

If you're serious, you need some counseling. We all think about it from time to time. Has anything happened in your life lately? Did a close friend or relative die?
