They become part of your soul. As some people believe. While others may copy your jokes, the joke is yours until you die. When you die and your soul is released, the joke floats up to heaven if it was good, and sinks to hell if it was bad. Jokes in hell are thought to be told by people with stage fright, while everyone boos them. The very worst of jokes are told be the Devil repeatedly for days at a time as a form to torture. Jokes that go to heaven are told just enough to still be very funny when someone hears them. The best jokes are reserved for God to tell. Which is why everyone loves God. Aside for creating everyone and everything, that is.

What an interesting question to ask
there are some people like myself and many of my friends who thrive on jokes and pass them on daily. Life is great enough to make jokes about and to laugh at ourselves.
So keep telling them and passing them on to others
