My little bother's stemcells were harvested from his umbillical cells and are being used in my cancer treatment. My brother wasnt harmed in the least and Im glad there is stem cell research and even more glad than no one needs to be harmed in the process.
I do get to claim my medical treatment on my income tax so I guess I kinda DO get to use them as dependants? ;)

I think it's kind of like abortion. If you kill them or the unborn before Dec 31 then they don't count as dependents for that year. You might be able to take a carryover loss for the next year though, since that's what most people carry over in their conscience.

If Bush could pull it off, I'm sure that it would strengthen his position on his dislike of stem cell research with our brand new democratic congress :)
Something tells me that's not going to happen though.

Yes but each cell counts as 1/100th of a trillion in people-deductions since that is what they will end up as.

according to George W Bush - the answer must be yes. What gets me he has killed 3,000 adult Americans (commander & chief) on a war that he has already declared victory on, yet some unborn's death is a no-no. Guess he needs that potential adult to die in another war with no known goals.

That would be great, since your body produces them constantly throughout your lifetime.

I don't see why not. You can count sperm and eggs as life, can't you. If not, don't tell the IRS who I am.

No. And BTW, please stop telling people the Catholic Church opposes stem cell research. It isn't true.
