Why did God put all the oil in the Arab lands?

There's oil everywhere. Just that the Arabs don't use most of the oil they produce, and they make a bundle exporting it. Whhile here in the US we use most of the oil we produce, up to 80 times as much oil per capita as people in some other countries. We use even more than we produce, so we wind up importing a lot of it from all over the world, not just the mideast.
You could just as well ask, why did God put all the hyperconsumers in the US, a nominally Christian land?
The oil is where it is because that's where the primeval jungles and forests were. And the US is where it is because that's where the influences of climate, natural resources, and colonization came together just right to produce a hyper-rich, hyper-consuming, hyper-industrialised superpower.
I don't believe in a God who micromanages.

It's elsewhere too, USA has oil fields, like the others have said. Locally here there has been a large deposit of oil and natural gas found recently, enough for people to think it viable to invest in and drilling has already started, which is good for us locals it means possible future employment unless our government decides we don't need jobs and outsources the work to overseas guest workers.

It's just that the Arabs don't consume as much oil, so they have more to sell.
