If I have an abdominal hernia do is it required that I have surgery to fix it or is there other options?

Sorry, surgery is the only cure for any hernia. Abdominal hernia's are caused by an opening or weakness in the abdominal wall. These do not correct themselves and certain things can make the hernia worse such as coughing, heavy lifting, straining during bowel movements and gaining weight.
