I forgot to mention that we did have plans to get married. Not engaged yet, however it was clear that he wants to be with me the rest of our lives. So, maybe even more he should kinda me on my side a bit more than on hers. Am i wrong for thinking that?

I didn't see your other MIL question but just to offer my thoughts anyway...

All MIL's are royal hags! Mine is the worst, undoubtedly, or at least in the Top Ten Of All Time MIL Hags.

Sorry so negative, and good luck with your situation.

Here is a question I ask many young couples especially the men and occasionally the women: If in a situation where you could save only your mother or wife / husband (boat sinking or kidney transplant or whatever you can only save one, who would you save) ? My answer and the Bibles explanation is "Save your Mother, cause you only have one in your lifetime and you can have many wives,/ husbands over the yrs. Think about it, and don't get mad ,just think about it, OK?

part 2 to my answer! the nest time he says to put up with it indicate that you can as long as you move to another city or town when you get married. He needs to make a choice between keeping you happy or his mother and he should chose you or you should chose someone else!!

Not to rub it in but my mother-in-law is awesome, but I still say that your soon to be should most definitely stick up for you. My mom is a B***H and my husband and he never get along but she knows that if she says ANYTHING that I will always chose my husbands side over hers.
Sorry :(

I didn't see your first question, but yes, he should stick up for you. You're going to be his wife. You're not wrong for thinking that at all!!!!
My mother-in-law, she is the MIL from HELL!!!! She is very nosy, controlling (tries to be) and very manipulating!!! She is part of the reason we are separated now.
Good luck to you.
