There was a question earlier that asked why didn't God visit the Native Americans. I say he did.

So many of the answers to your question think the Americas were not worth a visit from GOD.
Interesting.
GOD made everything, and to think GOD would exclude anyone seems weird and insulting, as I read the answers.

IT'S GOD people! If GOD takes the shape of a burning bush, or a snake with wings, or the thousands of other forms GOD chooses - who are we in 2007 to insult GOD by restricting his movements to only a few spots of this planet, GOD made?

With GOD all things are POSSIBLE.

The question asks if it is possible - and few of you think GOD would. Please reread this question.

Any thing is possible with God. But I don't think Jesus came to the Americas during that time. I think that something like that would be profound and there would be really good records of it. People have been keeping written records since around 400 B.C. We have found records in Central America of what products were being traded over seas with Persia.

No. Where is the record, where is the evidence?

There are no Native American temples to the God of Abraham, no mention of the Patriarchs.

Only explanation is a self-claimed prophet, Joseph Smith, dug the record up and gave it to an angel Moroni (I Moron).

It is a nice thought, however it is not scripturally correct.
Jesus ascended back in heaven soon after His crucifiction.
His promise to us was that His next coming would be "As the lightening that comes from the sky"
Matt 24:26-27 So if anyone tells you, There he is, out in the desert, do not go out; or, Here he is, in the inner rooms, do not believe it. For as lightening that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
If Jesus were to have appeared to anyone after His ascension into heaven, He would be a liar.
Be assured, Christ is coming, very soon, according to His Holy Word.
God Bless You.....Peace.

Sigh. Just because there are no temples of Christian figures does NOT mean that God did not also distribute His word to the inhabitants of this continent. And to the person who mentioned Abraham, HELLO!, the pentatuch is JEWISH. Yoy.

God is known to everyone. You can see archeological evidence of worship, whatever kind of worship that is, is a derivative of the original message from God, just like Christianity is a derivative. If there was worship, there was God.

You are free to have your opinion on this, however, if you want to convince anyone of it, show evidence that he actually did so. The Mormons make such a claim and say that the Book of Mormon is a record of those early Americans. The problem is that while many sites in the Bible have been proven to exist, not one of the places in the Book of Mormon have. There is simply no evidence of it.

So if you want to believe in that, go for it. But if you want to convince anyone else of it, please have some evidence to back your beliefs up.
