My childs father wants no part in his life, so I want him to sign over all educational and parental rights to me. How do I start the process, is there a website that I can go to? Thanks!

Contact you rlocal Child and YOuth services, you can look them up on line for your county, just google child and youth and your county. They will be able to help you and most cases free of charge.

Depends on the state you are in- but certain states (including the one I'm in) Educational rights go to the custodial parent. If you have a minnimus from court granting you custody or your child only lives with you- most schools would have you make educaitonal decisions.

He has to sign over his rights in family court and it typically has to be done in front of a judge. I am sure this varies somewhat by state. You should contact family court in your county and ask them if you can file for abandonment w/out the father being present.

For the parental rights etc you have to contact your local court house to go about doing that. As far as wanting him to give up parental rights, depending on what state you live in, a judge will not allow it unless he is seen as an unfit parent.....Good luck though
