Does it help with TMJ? Is it comfortable? Cost?

I grind my 2nd molars all night because of the alignment. Almost cusp to cusp. Will this nightguard be better since my back teeth won't touch?

I'm a dentist.

The NTI nightguard fits on your maxillary incisors, and features a thin occlusal plane that keeps your bite open. It doesn't "lock" between your front teeth, however.

I have not used it myself, but I have prescribed it for a few of my patients. Admittedly, I'm not an expert on treating TMD, but I have found that the NTI doesn't work any better than standard full-arch occlusal guards, all things considered.

Each type has its own indication.

I dont know of any dentist in philly but I do know you would have to get veneers on at least 4 teeth. If you only did the front two they would look like chicklets. Some dentist would recommend that you do the front six.

Had one for a few years....helped in a few areas but not in others? Comfortable and costs the same as other night guards from your dentist. Where are you having problems/troubles at?

I got mine for free. My dentist, managed to get it. I have TMJ, it isn't uncomfortable, but it isn't comfortable. Some how I usually wind up waking up in the morning, and it is on the floor or by my pillow.

I wear one on my bottom teeth at night. It just snaps on. Easy to pop out. Has helped, cost around $400.
