Maybe you could work out a deal with your dad where you earn half and he pays for half. You'll still have to work hard to earn the money, but you'll appreciate it more if you have to work for it.

Be keen to earn it, and do not ask for further of a digicam than you want (you could get a respectable digicam for $one hundred). confirm a catalogue of activities you'll do, above and previous what you're already accountable to do, and present day it to him. If he's like maximum busy mom and father those days, any help - cooking dinner for the relations, cleansing the storage, organizing the kitchen shelves - is very much beloved (i understand i'd pay you to do those issues for me!) :-) peculiarly - make positive you do not whine or whinge about it if he nonetheless says no; each so often it takes time to imagine about issues, and in case you educate your self to be accountable and keen to placed forth some attempt, it truly is sufficient to help substitute even the most determined minds.

You could ask him to pay for it and you can do extra chores around the house. Or he can pay for it and you pay him back. You may consider putting it on layaway depending where you are planning to buy it. You may even give up something for a month, like new shoes, clothes or what not. Good Luck

why not offer to do work, extra chores, things around the house to "pay off" the amount the camera costs. That way your father won't feel like he is just being used as a wallet by you.

How about YOU working and earn the money to get your toy instead of expecting your father to spoil you?
Now, if you're too young, try to do your chores around the house, offer help and work on a plan (if your parents agree) to get monetary rewards for, let's say, loading the dishwasher and stuff like that.

Just ask yourself a question , is this thing that you are going to buy the most important one, without this , what would happen ? I am sure if it is the most important one, your dad will surely work out a system that you can earn it.

maybe go to work and save the money or get your dad to front you the cash and pay him back. The camera is expensive and it would be a good gesture to pay him back

Just ask him. The worst that could happen is he tells you no... but what difference will it make if he says no? You don't have a camera now, and you won't have one if he says no... but he might say yes... so it's worth the risk.

Can you find one that's cheaper and ask for that one and then save for the one you really want and get it later?
