I would probably just laugh and save the receipt.

The issue of the the bill should not be a bother. In my place people even have house numbers which are 666. There is no such a thing as an evil number, numericals do not have morality. Looking at the book of revelation, this is one of the most misunderstood book in the bible together with the book of Daniel in the Old Testament. The authers of these books wrote them in an apocalyptic style. That is something like a satire, or in other words, using signs and symbols to communicate a message which can be understood by your society and the oppressive regime cannot pin you down that you are deforming characters. A good example is animal farm, how it depicts Napoleon buy personifying animals. Daniel was written at the time when the Israelites were in exile in Babylon and the Babylonians had a different religion. the Israelites were not given much freedom to express their religion. So, Daniel had to write in that way condeming the regime in that apocalyptic style. The book of revelation was also written at a time when Christians were being persecuted under the Roman Empire. So the beast potrayed and the characteristics depict the emperor and his throne who was in charge at that time. Now in the Roman empire, people used letters to represent numbers. These are the roman numerals, e.g 50 is L, 100 is C. historical records and archeology show that the emperor who was in charge was NERO CESAR, who was notorious for persecuting Christians by throwing them into an ampi-theator to fight with hungry lions and it was a form of entertainment. He was a beast in that he threw people to be devoured by beasts, which were lions. This is depicted in the movie Gladiator. So in roman numerals, it can be demonstrated that the name in latin, Nerosius Casar, exchanging letters for numerals, adds up to six hundred and sixty six. All christians at that time could easily understand what was being refered to. So, today this is meaningless and the figure 666, should not be held with any suspicion.

I'd scratch my head and look at the bill kinda funny because that little "L" in front of the 666 still doesn't make any sense to many highly-educated, wonderfully globalized Americans.
Cheerio!

As of May 4 2005, 616 has been discovered to be the true number of the beast. But either way, it would make no difference to me.

HITAN ( Democracy in Heaven )
number translated from the original Greek could be 616, experts say new photographic evidence of an ancient fragment of papyrus from Revelation indeed indicates the number is indeed 616, instead of 666.

Yes, because it is just a coincidence. Put the number in my hand as the Bible speaks to buy something, no. Just because you buy something that just happens to be the number of the beast doesn't mean you are worshipping the beast of the Bible.

What difference does it make it is just a number, also the 666 you refer to has no decimal point in it.

Sorry, I cannot pay that. I don't have any British pounds. That 666 nonsense is a fantasy tale out of the flawed, man-made Bible.
