my canon xr45mc video camera has a 4 pin DV output so im getting the Firewire Cable, Ieee 1394 6p/4p M/M 3ft cable and theFirewire 3 Port PCI Card for my computer(since it doesn't have the port already) is this the right combo?????

P.S- the total on that combo is like $30 online. I went to best buy and a combo like that for the same things was like $60+... please explain..

Hi Jimmy,
That's exactly what you need! Only one more suggestion. The Firewire 3 port PCI Card - make sure it has 4 pin and 6 pin ports, like 2 of them being 6 pin and 1 of them being 4 pin, so if you ever have to connect a piece of equipment whose output is 6 pin you can still use the 6x4 cable you bought.

Are you sure your camcorder is a XR? I am unable to find anything about it. The ZR45MC and the ZR50MC have memory card slots, which allow you to save digital stills to removable memory cards. Using a USB cable, users can transfer their digital stills from their camcorders to their computers.

My SONY cam uses firewire but the newer technology uses USB2. Try this link...
