Aslam Alakum
I have studded religion all my life. I embraced Islam in 1986. I don’t know were some of these people get their ideas about Islam but they are very misinformed. Do not be Sunni Shia or any one school just study Quran and Hadith. Read all you can. Seek knowledge. Take one-step toward Allah and Allah will take a 1000 toward you. People who read spoon-fed media think it is a foreign religion but many born and raised Americans embrace Islam everyday. in the 1990s a article came out saying Islam was the fastest growing religion in this country. I served in the Marines and by birth I am Irish / Dutch
Raised Catholic.

All religions are intended to be virtuous. Some of their followers though are not so. Islam is beautiful, but many Islamists are not and manipulate the virtues of Islam in a negative way. Many ugly Christians/Hindus/Buddhists etc. do the same.
Personally, I prefer not to subscribe to any religion. I live by the notion that so long as I am causing no harm to others and I am doing my best to make the world a better place then I am OK.

I don't like the Islam religion at all. In a way it is good that they have to pray 5 times a day and they defend their religion, but I can concept the idea of a man having 2 or more wives...That is bullshit; it sucks!!! Why do a man needs 2 wives??? He's not happy with one wife??? (I don't like this idea at all)...I know that not every man has the right o have more than one wife; he needs to have money to take care of herself...but that is enough...I don't believe in Mohamed or Allah; but we all have to believe in something.

I have no problems with it. All I have to say is that the unfortunate image of islam is portrayed by a small few that are considered radicals and it could be the same for any religion.

I love Islam and thank God for guiding us to the straight path. I do believe we need to eliminate extremism and follow the proper Sunnah, gain more religious knowledge and update the Schools of Fiqh within the boundaries of the Sunnah.
Inshallah we will be able to do this

To many people who have been in it are saying how bad it is and how bad women are treated. They don't treat them bad till they get strong enough to force their Islamic law on everyone. Till then they play friendly.
This is what I'm hearing anyway and from ones who should know.
