...do you expect to have most impact in heavyweight division over the next 4 years:

1) Wladimir Klitschko

2) Nikolay Valuev

3) Samuel Peter

4) Alexander Povetkin

If it's not much trouble, explain why.

To smitty and BRENT F - gentlemen, thank you very much for your participation, but if you are a bias American troll, please feel free not to answer any of my questions ever again

Keith - I'm not forgetting about Maskaev and Briggs. In my opinion neither of them is good enough to do anything really important in this division in near future. Maskaev is very lucky to be the champion at this moment, but he most definitely wont be that for long. He has been knocked out by every serious opponent he ever faced in his life and same would happen to him against any of these men. And Briggs is perhaps slightly better boxer but his continuous stamina problems and lack of proper training, which apparently he is unwilling to deal with, make it impossible for him to compete with these people.

Frank, Joey - to be honest, I'm not that sure about Peter. He has done good work and made considerable progress lately, but in my opinion he still has a lot more room for improvement. His technique is still not too good and conditioning could be better as well. I would definitely love to see him fight Klitschko once more and find out where he's really at and who the better man of the two is now.
But you, like samuel, are right on point about Povetkin in my opinion gentlemen. In fact, even though he is still inexperienced as a professional, I really believe that this is the man we can expect the most of. He is a boxer with lot of power, incredible technique and he is so much more talented then the other three, or anyone else in heavyweight division for that matter, at this moment. He did start off late as a professional, but I don't believe it will be to long before he makes his way into title contention and we'll see what happens from there on.

Actually, I think Povetkin. If he gets a name for himself he should be the next star.

I believe it will be Sam Peter. The Nigerian Nightmare is still young (26) and back-to-back wins over James Toney catapulted his marketability. We all knew he could punch, but Peter proved in the rematch with Toney that he's willing to learn from mistakes and makes room for further improvement. He's a beast in the ring and congenial outside of it.

Wlad's time will run out, as it has in the past. He's extremely awkward and his heart is almost as weak as his chin. Peter knocked him down thrice as I recall, even though Klitschko got the win. If they fought again, Wlad wouldn't make it to decision.

Valuev is a freak show. People will tune in out of curiosity, but this giant does not have a big punch at all. He was impressively balanced, but he'll be challenged sooner or later, possible by Jameel McCline tomorrow.

Povetkin had a stellar amateur career before turning pro. He has power and natural ability. Age is the biggest factor working against him, though. He should've considered a professional career earlier. Now he's going to have to catch up to the big guys who have been fighting the division's quality fighters for a while. Povetkin is the dark horse.

Don't forget about Maskaev or Briggs. The one from your list would be Peter. He must continue to get in shape. I think he fights Maskaev next. When he beats Maskaev on points and continues to stay fit then he will unify the belts. The same can be said for Briggs. He could end up being the toughest test for Peter if he gets in shape mentally and physically..

Sam Peter. He has the most power of the 4 I think he is also the youngest, and his improvement from the first James Toney fight to the second was immense. He seems to be taking his conditioning much more seriously and he actual boxed technically much better than previous fights.

Klitschko,

He has a brutal jab that can neutralize Peter and Povetkin....And dont listen to this Peter BS. Peter had an enormous reach advantage when he beat Toney, something he will not have if he fights Klitschko. Anyone who says Peter is a racist who only pulls for fighters based on skin color.

Wlad may have some trouble with Valuev, but I see him taking this one based on their skill difference.
