Do you ever set out to just deliberately hurt someone or mess with someone? If you do why and why did you choose that person?
I think this is what a guy has done to me. He seemed like the nicest guy I've ever known but as time went on he seemed to have changed completely and I'm wondering if he got me interested in him and to care about him just to mess with me. I just took steps to cut off all contact with him. I let it go on a long time though and if it was just a game I would have thought he would have gotten bored.
So, I just wanted to know if it is sometimes done deliberately. If so, is it funny? Do guys make bets with their buddies about things like this? Do you ever feel badly about doing this to the person or is it just how things are in the dating world and you take your chances?

Life is about taking chances and risks. I don't think a lot of people are out to get us. We just have to take those expenses and lessons in life and learn from them to make us grow stronger and wiser.... Although I find it harder and harder to trust. But I know this is something I have to do if I want to be in a good relationship.........We just have be be cautious and careful before we give our hearts away so quickly..... I think people who do things deliberately to hurt others are callous, shallow, ruthless people to say the least, who may think it is funny to them and in that mater don't care about how you feel. If they can do it to you they have or will do it to others.because they get off on it and they know how to play there game well....... If the person feels badly for what they did then it means that they do have some compassion and it wasn't done intentionally.... Some people don't know how to deal with certain situations and they run away from it and make maters worse by making themselves look real bad by shutting down or off completely. When people start to change that is a huge red flag and it could mean in your case that he got scared and ran from his emotions. It is so hard to sometimes to understand but don't take it personal it isn't about you it is about there character and the person who they truly are. Remember too that peole do change there minds about things it's just too bad he couldn't give you a reason as to why........

If anyone would do this, it would be a person who is an absolute FREAK, not to mention STALKER! That would be some very strange behavior he would be exhibiting. Why in the world would anyone want to do that? You must have really messed with him or with someone he really cares about. I would just apologize to him and say "hey, its been fun_______, but time to move on, you won. Congratulations. Be the nice person.

Once I was madly in love with a guy who wasn't really good for me. It was one heartbreak after another but I wasn't strong enough to break things off permanently. I would always forgive him and try again. Finally, when I was ready to make the real break, I did do something to deliberately hurt and anger him and it worked. He left me alone after that and I got over it.

oh man...im a guy & this was done to me by a girl. i think they are just cold hearted people that are too immature to realize that they are hurting someone by playing their games. they would prolly regret it later on in life. & no most guys dont make bets about these kinda things. ur better than him, find someone worth caring for =)

Ohhhhhhh...no way...bad karma. It's hard enough to keep life in balance and try to do what's best overall...I don't want the negative repercussions of deliberately being ugly to anyone...what goes around, comes around.

I've had girls whom I thought were interesting in me romantically only to find out they were playing games. That really hurt.

i wish i can tell you.
ive had it done to me before
and ive done it to other people
its fun for a sertain amount of time,although its creul,but i usually have a good reason
like if i dont like a kid and he likes me,i would pretend to go out with some other kid to get him MAD AT ME i dont really mean to HURT HIM
