Because that is what their left-wing liberal teachers teach them.
The media reports like that because it sells air time and newspapers.
Our military is better educated now than it has ever been, and they are better educated than any other country.
God bless our troops!
If you bad mouth or spit on one of them in front of me, get ready for a fight.

The reason is because, a war is upon us. People are just starting to settle in about politics (for the majority of citizens not involved about politics). Many of which balme all the violence and desicions on the military. But actually, the choices are made by the government (as stated earlier, which takes a LONG time for some people to realize). Noone in the armed forces should feel threatened (unless, they commited a warcrime, or in the bloodly storm of a battle in the battle field).
Response: I agree! I mean for the sake of God! Those people put their lives on the live just so that we can live our fricken lives! We shouldn't hate the military! It is the government who controls the military and the nation! Don't take out your anger on the military! Think politics! (Note: Who's ever side you are on politically, I don't care what you think but support our troops. It was the govenment's idea for this war, not the military. People in the armed forces are willing to die for us! These people are our friends, family, neighbors, and maybe even someone you met a little earlier.)

Because Liberals control the media and the media says that the military is bad and attempts to give the public the idea that only the minority would disagree. While I can't speak for the entire nation, I can definitely say that the majority of the people in the area where I live are very much pro-military. We just need to speak up and let our feelings be known.

I feel it is a historical fact that our people here in America do not understand our Military, the role that the armed forces play in our society and what the people in uniform are doing for all of us.
Our military exists to keep our way of life and our freedom safe. We have people in uniform all over the world keeping free trade happening and bad guys at bay that could and would threaten our shores if left unchecked. When the Armed forces are doing nothing that's a good sign. When we have to send them to some part of the world to keep peace or help enforce human rights they do it knowing they may not come home but we here at home will remain free and safe. So the next time you get the urge to respond to an anti-military smart *** just think to yourself, if this fool where in most any other country in the world he world piss his pants before he tried to exercise his right to free speech for fear some other nut job would shoot him. Laugh at the ignorance. America land of the free home of a great big kick *** military.

Perhaps it's because it's so much EASIER to not wash one's hair, clothes, or body ?
And for those who say there are NOT violently anti-military groups running about on our college campuses... go to UC Berkeley. My brother did NROTC there in the 80's and was constantly harrassed, egged, and even knocked around (no return shoves cause the lil hippies had cameras).

I don't know where you're talking about, but nobody does that where I live. Most people are against the war, but nobody disses the troops in the military. They know it's not their fault they are over there and regardless of how much they hate Bush and the war, they know that our troops are brave and courageous and will always stand by them. And, don't try to say the ones wanting our troops to come home are anti-military. They are just against having any more of our people dying and want them all home safe.
And just for the record: men in uniform . . . . very nice.

Simply put Americans have lost their resolve. If you remember at the beginning of the war, when it took whole week to march into Baghdad, America was all about it. They all wanted to wave their flags and were so proud. So it is taking longer than expected to straighten out the whole Iraq situation. We have lost 3000 soldiers com paired to the few hundred thousand Insurgents and civilians and Iraqi es that have lost their lives. Americans watch too much negative contraband liberal bullshit on TV. They need turn off Hardball with Chris Mathews, and burn the New York times. They have forgotten the president who lead the nation during one of it's most difficult hours in 9/11. They have forgotten the president that lead the war on terror in Afghanistan. They have forgotten the president that lowered taxes, and boosted the economy. That is why I put on my uniform and put my life on the line though. So that over educated, Micheal Moore following morons can gather in mass and protest the very protection that gives them the freedoms that they don't deserve.

I don't think people are as anti-military as they are anti-war. But of course, judging by the spelling in most of these answers it is obvious that intelligence isn't a requirement for this forum. Furthermore, our troops deserve our respect and thanks for doing a job that most won't do, however our government doesn't seem to agree seeing that Pres. Bush keeps sending more and more of our troops to the middle east and needlessly putting them in harms way. Our troops are commendable for their spirit and loyalty....our government however, needs to take into consideration the families and friends of our soldiers as well as the well being of them.

I have not heard of any stories related to what you are saying. I reject your complaint and I know for a fact that most Americans pay the highest respect to our volunteers. If I ever witness anyone badmouthing American volunteer soldiers with out just cause I will personally confront them on the error of their ways.

I don't understand that myself. The people who do that seem like they were made in the morning when there was nothing but pissed left and military people (all that I know, including me) seem tough and honorable. The funny thing is, military people are tough and the people whining are wimps, who would win in a fist, street or gun fight? The sad thing is that we need to be polite in public, while the sum-bags can be as mean as they want.

Suck it up, sweetie. not everybody has to accept as true with your perspectives or your politics. that's referred to as loose speech, something you may desire to grasp approximately while you're truly a militia kin. infantrymen have been dying for that landlady's mind-blowing to assert notwithstanding the heck she desires to assert with regards to the government, militia, and so on. Why might you dishonor their sacrifice by whining and crying approximately somebody who workouts that mind-blowing? Take a huge female pill, and purely *kick back*. Peace be with you, diva.
