It is 100% OK to cut the hair after it's dry, in fact I prefer dry cuts. Especially if your hair is not naturally straight and you wear it straight often or even sometimes. If they took it upon themselves to start cutting your hair this way, it was for a reason because this is obviously more time consuming and it takes more skill to cut hair dry because dry hair is less forgiving than when the hair's all wet.

I have always gotten a wet cut. I was told that it's easier to cut when it is wet. If I don't get my hair washed at the beautyshop then the person who is doing my hair sprays it while it's being cut.

my stylist does dry cuts and is able to create a lot more texture that way. she gives the best cuts i've ever had. don't worry about how it's SUPPOSED to be done. do you like the results?

no! you might cut it too short b/c of the springiness that you don't see when it's wet. NO!
