Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Yes....it is one of my specialties....holidays....big breakfasts... in large skillet melt:
1 stick margarine
1 1/2 c sugar
1/3 c cocoa
Add 1/4 c flour......stir until you have a smooth pasty looking mixture....don't cook at too high heat....
next......stir in 5-6 cups milk.....increase heat while stirring continuously.....till mixture begins to bubble and thicken.....
This is wonderful over hot biscuits.....
Also....you can bake a yellow cake mix in a sheet cake pan
put a slice of cake in bowl and top with large scoop of gravy....
You can make a hour or so ahead of time and keep at low temp in crock pot Makes me want some!!!!!! The difference in the choc gravy and choc syrup or sauce is the flour.....the gravy has consistency of gravy.....the others are thin and sweeter

Its a southern thing. You use sugar, and hershey coco along with salt and some milk....I cant think of what else you put in it. You put it over biscuts like reg gravy. Its very good, they call it gravy because you use the biscuts and because its thick like gravy. But it has not gravy in it.

I've heard of mole (the e should have an accent) which is kinda like chocolate gravy. Is that what you had in mind?

It's good...but I am a white meat fan and the dark, although very good, does not compare to the white gravy. Perhaps a personal preference or perhaps fact..either way...that's the answer for me

No, but it sounds intresting. In mexican dishes they use Mole' sauce which is made with chocolate and that is good. Good question....I'll have to find a recipe for that.
