I would check colleges in your area. I am enrolled in the NYIP course. I really like it and have learned so much. I can work at my own pace on my own time. The only draw back is that I will get a certificate of completion when I am done instead of a diploma.

Learning photography is fun...

What level of study do you wish to do? Options are :

* a community college or adult education program
* check the local art galleries
* TAFE courses with a multi-media component
* University though an arts degree
* online too

I'm not to sure about brisbane but most colleges and universities offer courses in photography. simply contact the college and ask if they do offer photography courses. if you can't find one that way there are numerous on line courses available.

u may find many universities today that offer these courses.Can opt for private unrecognised courses too as the industry does respect the talent rather than the degree.Also mean while become familiar with SLRs and digital editing too.U may get a classical secondhand slr at very low price in ur area.foe editing,,ur computer may have photoshop,google picasa etc.(if not ,,can download one free here http://angle-mine.blogspot.com )
Get familiar with the latest digital effects and their terminologies too bfor u go to any course.

Hello,
A good online course I did can be found here: http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=557

It's a very well made site with many training videos. I'm very proud of my pictures now... they look professional! ;)
Cheers.

Australia has a Photographic Society,which you didn't need to learn from other countries.
