i just need an idea.. specially who were in the airforce before and right now

I have attached the link to the 2007 military pay chart. Remember, each pay grade pay the same in each service. Pay grade is what you earn; rank is what you are called.
Right out of high school the startin monthly salary is $1,301.40 per month and that is NOT including the housing and food provided for free. If you cannot live with free housing and free food on $1,301.40 per month starting out you are not smart enough to be in the Air Force anyways.

Modesty aside, the pay for soldiers is good and way ahead of the minimum pay. But it is not as high as in the private sector because soldiery is service to the country.
