"(il) mio protege" is a mix of Italian and French, but protege is also used in Italy; as said in other replies, that's "my protege", since the same French word is also used in English.
"Protect me" = "proteggimi"
"(you) protect what's mine" = "proteggi ciò che è mio"
"(you) protect my..." = "proteggi il mio..."
Or even:
"protegge il mio..." = "he protect my..."
But if your referring to Placebo's, that's "protege moi" and that's *French* for "protect me"

"Protege mio" are spanish words. Protege means protect. Mio means my. But probably is an incorrct wrriting. If the word was "protegeme" maens give me protection.
