Where can i look for answers about car transmitters and how to reprogram them?

I got a new car and it's kind of lagging or it's almost dead. It didn't come with an instruction book and i'm too scared to change the batteries and then haveto reprogram it? and i have some questions about my remote...

Your car is lagging or is almost dead? Or is your remote door lock opener almost dead? Either way, take the car to the dealer. If it is a new car, it should be under warranty. You should also insist on getting the manual for the car so that you can read up on how the remote works. If you car is new, it should come with a manual.
