IF YOU PLAN ON TAKING THE PICTURES YOU WOULD WANT A GOOD QUALITY DIGITAL CAMERA. HOWEVER IF YOU HAVE ALOT OF PICS PRINTED ALREADY THAT YOU WANT TO USE THEN A SCANNER WOULD BE A GOOD BENEFIT. YOU CAN GET A DECENT ALL IN 1 PRINTER THAT COMES WITH SCANNER FOR $60 SO GET BOTH IF YOUR BUDGET ALLOWS

I prefer a digi cam but it all depends on what you're wanting to send. With a scanner you could send both older and newer pics after developed. Or you could always go the extra mile and get both that way you have the best of both worlds.

It depends on what you want to send. If you want to send something on paper, then you need a scanner. But if you want to take pictures of 3D things then you should get a camera. They are not that different, they both use USB cables to connect to the computer.

I think you should invest in a camera, scanning just makes copies and alot of times you LOSE quality and if you enlare you will lose resolution. You can still lose quality and resolution if you make enlargements or crop to much, but having at least a 5 megapixel camera wouldn't affect it very much. If you are mainly concerned about posting them online, and in emails you shouldn't have much problems another thing you can do is when you have your film developed just have them process it on to a cd.

Hello, happy new year. If you currently do not have a digital camera, you can stillSend pictures you already have by scanning and saving them on detachable devices like Floppy discs and Flash discs. But it is more convenient to take new pictures and send if you have a Digital camera. buy one and enjoy.

A scanner is best because you can make sure the images are flat and you have more control over the output size and quality whereas with cameras they only take pictures that are a certain size and if you enlarge/reduce them they will loose their quailty.
