Rather than rely on sources like Al Gore you might want to go and get some real data and form some opinions of your own. See the sources below.

You can also go to "cbc documentaries" then type global warming into the search bar. Good project, you and the other students will learn a lot. Polar bears are drowning because the ice flows are melting, and they can no longer swim from one to another to hunt - the distances are too far, they are weary and weak, and hence they drown. Pods of whales that beach is also suspected linked to warming of the waters. Some species can die out if the water is only a few degrees warmer. Each person can help by driving less, using public transport, not using aerosol sprays, not using chemicals in their gardens, recycling and not consuming as much (so less is manufactured) by buying and selling used, or using less.

Good answer Noone N. Couldn't have said it better.
I just wish these people were not so blasted ignorant of science!
How they can buy into the politically correct hype of Al Gore and his sort is beyond me.
We've produced a nation of uneducated fools.

you could detail how global warming is effecting perma frost in alaska, or how the tree line is moving higher in alpine environments. The further north you go the more apparent the effects of global waming become. try refining your search to a smaller category than global warming. P.S. Screw Al Gore.

You might wish to be balanced with your paper and put in a few skeptic arguments about not the warming itself but its causes.
To accept what you hear at face value is not good scholarship.

Watching the movie "An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore would be most helpful to you.
Here are three websites that should help:
www.climatecrisis.net
www.stopglobalwarming.org
www.undoit.org
