The official answer is no(except for the above mentioned wine), but I've gone on many a cruise where I sneaked a bottle on. Be prepared to lose it possibly, but I've never seen that happen. I think confiscated alcohol would be bottles people are trying to bring on in their carry on bags. Put it in your checked luggage. The cruise lines do NOT check this. I've also never seen a cabin steward make a stink about a bottle of booze in your cabin(they work for TIPS). Make sure the bottle is PLASTIC, though. If your favorite is in a glass bottle, forget it. It's too easy to break.
Radios, on the other hand, are fine. Your brochure from the cruise company will usually outline that you can use a radio as long as it doesn't interfere with others' enjoyment. You can use it on the deck as long as the other passengers wouldn't be disturbed by it. That probably will mean headphones when in public. In you room, keep the level low enough that other cabins won't be able to hear you! TV, too!

You are usually allowed one bottle per wine that you have to declare before you get on the boat (and pay a corkage fee i believe). You can also pay to have wine or champage waiting for you in your room or have your friends or family send you a bon voyage package. (both VERY expensive options)
I saw an entire bin of confiscated alcohol the day I boarded my cruise. The definitely DO go through your luggage. I also tried to buy a bottle of rum on an island and was caught with that going through the scanners reboarding the ship.
I hate to burst your bubble but you are going to be stuck drinking $10 drinks and $5 beers unless you find some sort of all inclusive package. The only time I drank was at restaurants on shore excursions or you can take an excursion that includes free drinks. Please do enjoy your cruise though.

You aren't allowed to take liquor on. Sometimes they find it sometimes they don't.
There is no radio in the room.
