I have a 7-year-old daughter who had a sleep-over party when she turned 6. Kids that age love making artsy things like beading their own friendship braceletts, painting a t-shirt with fabric paint, decorating and personalizing their own pair of flip-flops, etc. Don't make it too complicated; you want the kids to be successful at what they are doing or else it won't be fun.

Bring upbeat cds for dancing, and a fun movie to watch at one point, such as Princess Diaries. Bring face paint and nail polish and give each girl manicures. Buy lots of beads and string and have everyone make bracelets or necklaces. Finally, bring a friend. For the most part, you will definitely need her help. Pick someone who is good with young children and who the kids will enjoy. Good luck!

I am 10 yrs. old and nail polish and make-up always works for my party's. Let the girls do each others nails and make-up. My mom started letting us do it when I was five. We have a lot of fun doing that. I promise they'll love it and the party will be a success!
I wouldn't suggest letting them play do each others hair because my mom says some parents don't care for that. (I know my mom doesn't).

princess parties are always a hit! My 7 yr old daughter loves to dress up! Also, she likes decorating cookies..you can just buy big sugar cookies and have frosting, sprinkles and such out for them to each decorate one! Or you could do the same thing with ice cream and they could make thier own sundae! Good luck!

Does she like dolls? When I was six I had a doll teaparty. My mom bought little straw hats from the craft store, little and big- one for each of the dolls, and one for each of the girls. We got flowers and ribbons and made hats for us and our dolls, then had tea and little sandwiches and pastries. If the kids don't like tea, juice or milk works the same way. Then for the sleepover, you can put a little kiddie make-up on each of them and play dress up. Then they can make a skit and perform it for their dolls. It should be fun!
