Quik answer,
For tempreture and pain to go down
let you dad take Ibuprofen Tab. 600 mg / shelf drug. after meal or big cup of water
Go to hospital if temprature dose not go
Later check another dentist because x - ray show only 2 dimentional image and has many problems and the dentist ( may ) put the filling close to tooth pulp or over it directly and this will cause the signs you just said
wish you luck

get your dad to the emergency room quick to address the fever. once he is feeling a little better ( a day or two) see a different dentist, or, this may not be related to a tooth at all. remember there are a lot of nerves etc.. above the neck and it may be related to something else. the fever should definately be addressed. the ER can take a film of your dads head to see if there is anything else that may be causing the problem. if it does end up being tooth pain, then your dad may need a root canal to save the tooth, or an extraction if the tooth is not savable. sometimes a fractured tooth can cause this type of pain, and fractures are not always visible. but considering your dad has a fever, it may be something else.. go quick to the ER!

go to the hospital...sometimes dentist don't know anything and they make things worst! i remember i was having severe pain when i would chew food and i never went to the dentist, i only went cause of the pain. you know what those fools told me?? that it was my imagination and nothing was wrong!! anyway, i was still experiencing the same thing so eventually i went elsewhere. they discovered that my wisdom teeth were coming in angled pushing my teeth out of alingment thats why i was feeling the sharp pains. they removed them and no more pain! my mom had to have a tooth removed and before hand the dentist took all types of x-rays. midway through the procedure he couldn't get the tooth out because it had a joined root w/another tooth!! even his assistant asked him whether he saw it in the hundreds of x-rays he took(my mom had to go to the hospital to get it out). all i'm saying is maybe you should go somewhere else or just go to the hospital! obviously theres something really wrong, now that your father has a fever...maybe the dentist made it worst.

Well I don't know anything at all about dentistry but it sounds to me like your dad needs to get a second opinion. Ask friends & relatives what dentist they use and if they have had good results with him/her. Then talk to your dad about seeing one of these dentist. Or he might be better off to see his regular physician first to see if the gums are infected which might be causing the fever.
I don't know if this helps or not. But I certainly hope that someone on here can give you some good advice about this problem. I sincerely hope that your dad is better soon!

He should see an oral surgeon. Sometimes general dentists do not have experience with something that an oral surgeon deals with all the time. They're in the phone book in the dental section, sometimes called oromaxillofacial surgeon.

the excellent view is the single which feels top to you. both in search of oneness with God/Brahman and love and devotion are paths to the divine. some distance as i will tell, it truly relies upon on your nature which course you may want to pass, because both might want to be sturdy for particular human beings. it really is a useless ringer for the idea that all religions are different paths ensuing in an identical aspect...
