I have the SD600 (very similar). This is interesting though, if I remember correctly the SD700 has image stabilization.

Anyway, these cameras are 'ultra compact' and are easily moved when the shutter is pressed because they are so lightweight. I experienced the same results for the first few weeks with my camera.

Remember, light is your best friend; higher shutter speed = faster and sharper picture. With that camera indoor shots without a flash are difficult. Another solution to try is to enable the self timer feature. There is a 2 second and 10 second timer on it, I like to use the 2 second one so that I can press the shutter down, and then I have 2 seconds to stabilize the camera before the shot is taken.

Good luck!

Do you allow the camera to focus before you take a pictures? Push half way down, wait till a green box or a chine goes off. Then push it all the way down.

If you dont the camera doesnt focus

Post it back to the website if they are reputable they will have a refund/exchange policy on faulty goods or send it to the manufacturer for a replacement, if it's a new camera it may just be a product fault.

I also have the same camera, experienced the same thing but when I chose AUTO FOCUS, everything looks good.

Maybe you have a defective camera. Return it asap. Good Luck!
