Your soul is created here to live forever. God wants to share the beauty of this world with you, that's why you are here. "Death" is a process where your soul is transferred to the awesome spiritual realm from this crappy place called "Earth." So don't be afraid of it! It is one of the most amazing experience you will ever have! Actually, I can't wait to die! (But you can't kill yourself or ask your friend to kill you, b/c it is one of the biggest sin and you'll have to spend your eternity in some place that you don't wanna go).. So...Start with small things. I'm not asking you to go to church, I'm not asking you to read bible, most of all, I'm not asking you to change your lifestyle. Just before you go to bed, start praying to God for 30 seconds. Some people say they don't believe God because the whole thing doesn't make sense. We're not supposed to understand it of course. But you shouldn't just be forced to believe God without any resources. Only 30 seconds are fine. Every night, before you go to bed, pray to him and tell him about your life. Soon he will change your life and you will see how the things work. When you understand this, you'll be eager to the death like I am! I hope this helped you a bit.

I think most people are afraid of death at some point
I always try to remember what my mum always told me
" you dont remember being born and you wont remember dying"
If the anxiety attacks continue it might be a good idea to have a talk to someone professionally to get a little help.
Good luck and a really long life to you .....

It's human nature to fear what we don't understand.
To get over the fear of death, go to the library and check out a book called "Life After Life" You won't be able to put it down. It's written by a doctor who has interviewed a lot of people who have come close to death but came back to live- There are fascinating descriptions. One old lady, an aunt, told her relatives "I've come so close to dying five times, and I've seen what's over there, it's beauty and peace and joy, and I want to go, but you keep praying me back" Another woman was in a car accident and was given her choice of whether or not to come back. She said it was the hardest decision she ever made, because she so wanted to go, but thought of her two little boys and didn't want them to grow up without a mother, so she came back.
You've probably heard about people who describe going through the tunnel and to the light - who they realize is god, and is love. Reading the book made me feel that God has a sense of humor, and that I wanted to be more like that light. How about that. You'll like the book.

You're definitely not. I'm terrified of death. It's something I've talked with therapists about quite a bit. ;)
Therapy has really helped me reduce the amount of anxiety I have about things like this. I thoroughly suggest therapy to anyone having issues with anxiety and depression.

I'd be more preoccupied buy death if I wasn't to busy trying to live. Look. Not sure if this will make a dent but......I would not spend the overwhelming part of my life thinking about my death. Rather I'd dedicate my short precious time on this planet to having a worthwhile life of meaning.

Try not to worry, alot of people fear death at some point in their lives......personally I don't fear death because I feel that our bodies are just our current vessel for our spirits that move on. I do fear how my death would impact the people that I care about. Try to find ways to distract yourself when you start worrying so that it doesn't reach panic level. If it continues to be an issue seek help in dealing with these feelings.

Me too, and I'm a lot older than you are. In fact I have had panic attacks. Don't Think About It. It's Not Healthy! You don't want to end up like me!
