I tried to use a toothpaste that supposedly 'whitens teeth' and it seemed to hurt my gums and make my teeth very sensitive. I take good care of my teeth and other normal toothpastes dont seem to be a problem. Do you think these new toothpastes can be bad for you, or has anyone experienced this as a displeasure as well?

the toothpastes have things in them that after time can *rub* off the enamel on your teeth its the same reason it makes your teeth appear brighter b/c it can remove more of the stuff stuck on your teeth, dentist will tell you not to use them.. if you are wanting to whiten your teeth they say to use the treatments like crest white strips b/c they are not abrasive and they have peroxide on them and that helps to clean the mouth and teeth too

I have sensitive teeth and the whitening toothpaste made it worse. If you use a soft toothbrush and toothpaste fot sensitive teeth for a while, your sensitivity should clear up. I found that the aqua fresh extreme clean with whitening did not effect me like other pastes did.

there are toothpastes and mouthwashes to be had now that support construct the tooth of your enamel again up and you'll be able to customarily uncover a few that whiten too. when you can not uncover any that whiten then simply opt for ones that upgrade tooth. there are ordinary matters you'll be able to use to whiten your enamel, like overwhelmed strawberries however i am not definite how so much that might reduce to rubble the tooth. might be a blend of ordinary approaches to whiten and tooth-making improvements to toothpaste or mouthwash can support.

they can be, especially if the toothpaste has an abrasive substance in it (for scraping off tartar, hence whitening the teeth). with prolonged use, your tooth enamel will begin wearing away. i'd stick with products with bleach if you feel you need teeth whitening.
