This question is specifially for Asian women: What is it, exactly, that you find so appealing about White men?

I've noticed that in Southern California there seems to be an abundance of young attractive Asian women coupled with White men- not that there's anything wrong with that, racial harmony and assimilation is a beautiful thing- but I'm just curious as to what the motives are behind it all. After all, you don't see nearly as many White women dating Asian men so there is clearly a choice being made by Asian women- or by White men- to NOT date someone of their own ethnicity.
More specifically, the issue I'm trying to explore here is whether or not many of the young Asian women in the Southern California area are suffering from some sort of identity issues concerning their own ethnicity; or if this generation of second-generation Asian-American women have developed some sort of self-loathing for the men of their own community because they have been influenced by the negative portrayals of Asian men in
American media and the derogatory sterotypes that may be propagated by many.

Or is it because they feel that by dating a White man that they are somehow "moving up" the sociopolitical ladder- at least their kids are- and that they view themselves as "unattainable" to their own ethinicity.
Or is it purely a physical thing? Nothing wrong with honesty! :)

They are different from us. We've grown up as aisans so we want a different colored skin. besides they're hotter.

part of it what you said social climbing has something to do with it
then there is the attraciveness part
if she find a white guy good looking, what wrong with that?
I find Asian women attractive and I am not Asian
I have seen plenty of stunning hot Asian women with Asian guys who have made it ( financially )
there is family pressure on the girls to marry inside their race, and more to the point along there countryman
but here in SoCal with the lifestyle, it hard to listen to your family circle whene there is so much going on , the strong western influence gets to everyone. There is also a sement of Asian guys who for the lack of a better term are idiots and momma's boys, and no girl Asian or women otherwise wants to be stuck with them. More power to the girls / guys of any race that decide to marry as they wish for what ever reason.

well i'm azian and to be honest my parents always say to me, "Go for the white guys they are more successful, better mannered, and most definitely richer than all type of guys" i guess my parents always had an outlook on white guys as the best husband for their daughters and plus some white guys are real handsome so that doesn't hurt (all in one package)

I am not Asian, but you seem to be very narrow minded to me. Let people date who they want, regardless of race, social standing, income, or what other people think.
