Just because you can't find God's address doesn't mean He doesn't have one. I'm an atheist and always thought, if God exists where could He possibly be? There was no place in the physical world He could fit so was unlikely to exist. In the last 3 or 4 years, however, a couple of possibilities have materialized. God, or some other vast intelligence, might actually exist impressed on the "fabric" of "space". Think of it as intelligence that uses atomic properties to think and exist. This would be not be visible to us or detectable with current technology. We'll soon have that capability though so might discover to our surprise that God, or something like God, actually does exist.

God is in heaven, and we're not. According to the old testament, he is a God who hides himself. He doesn't really "play" hide and seek. He does in reality hide, and we are the ones left to seek.

I often don't think it's fair. But life in general doesn't make any sense any way.

As far as praying, many people's requests can be summed up as, "God, give us heaven on earth." So it stands to reason that
they'll have to wait till it's all over for their prayers to be answered.

I've recently gone through a time of being angry and bitter at God.
So this is not easy for me to write.
To be right with God, make peace with him, is often a matter of
accepting many things as they are or will be.
Being right with God could mean not asking him for special treatment or favours. It could mean forgiving someone you'd
rather keep on hating.
To be right with God is sometimes a matter of trying to do good
for those who have no helpers, the poor and the needy.

You cannot really believe in a God that you haven't known yet.

I recommend reading the books of Luke, Job, Ecclesiastes, and
Isaiah, in the king james bible, random passages once in a while.

He does hide himself. He is invisible. I hope you seek for Jesus, and I hope you find him. I'm still trying to understand him myself.

He isn't "hiding" so much as separated from you by your sin. The sin, in this case, is your trying to "Make Things Right With God."
"Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent" (John 6:28-29).The way to "make things right with God" is to quit calling Him a liar and accept what He has done FOR you to make you right with Him. Don't like it? Don't expect God to hear any other prayer. There really is only one way to God. All other roads lead away from Him.

God is not far distant. All you need to do is kneel down and pray to Him. Tell Him what has gone wrong in your life then ask for His forgiveness and strive to never do those things again. Then close your prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. God is very forgiving and He is waiting for you to come to Him and tell Him of your problems so that He can give you comfort. Just ask Him for what you need.
