Why blow $ 30,000. for your first car ? Get a small Toyota,, good on gas.. Do you know , how much gas will in the next 5 years ?
And the Insurance $$$$$$. Auto sales Ad tell you the car makes the man..And sell more cars.. I feel the man makes the car..

if you are a new driver i would not get a clunker as you are going to be putting some dings in it and why would would want to pay $ 30,000 for something that going to make you cry when you get a a scratch it? and you will or someone in the parking lot will...i have had clunkers when i started and it seemed like i never got a ding in them but as soon as i bought a nice looking cars...people went out of their way to park next to me and open their doors into my parked car.

If I had $30000 to spend on my first car- without worrying about any other costs (insurance/gas/repair work)- I would probably get an '07 Camry SE V6 or an '04-'06 Acura TL.

Depending on the climate where you live I would suggest a Mazda rx8. They're a rotary engine, they last forever, and you can spin them to about 9,500 RPM!! Another great thing about these fine specimens of vehicularness is that they look AWESOME!!! But thats my opinion. Depends on your tastes :D

Get a VW or something. Maybe a jetta. It comes highly recommended for young drivers and you can easily pick one up for $20k. But really get something that's fuel-efficient.
Or better yet, get a prius.
