Hi, Pangel!
I couldn't help think of you as being a...
CHILD OF THE UNIVERSE
I am a child of my father and my mother and the sea
I am a child of the forest and of the glen and of the lea
I am a child of the moon I am a child of the sun
I am a child of the universe
All these yet only one
I am a child of the clouds that drift across the sky above
I am a child of the music that translates itself to love
I am a child of the gentle drops that make the springtime rain
I am a child of the universe
A child who knows of pain
I am a child of the zephyr that is wild inside its core
I am a child of the waves and sand that line the ocean's shore
I am a child of the hawk that rides the current of the wind
I am a child of the universe
That gladly takes me in
I am a child of the field of flowers riotous in bloom
I am a child of the smile that shines and so transcends the gloom
I am a child of the flames that seem to flicker in the night
I am a child of the universe
With wonder in my flight
I am a child of the legend that is knowledge deep and real
I am a child of the mysteries that space and time reveal
I am a child of the stardust and the child of truth and right
I am a child of the universe
Searching for the light
A child of the universe
Still searching for the light
You're a beautiful Daughter of the Universe
Always...
Peace and Love

Hi again Pangel. If it helps, I don't see that a belief in God can't include a belief in evolution.
If God can create an entire universe, it sure doesn't seem like it would be difficult for that universe to be created through a 'big bang', in seven days (but with fossil evidence for an extra zillion years), or from two scoops of choc-chip ice-cream, if God so chose!
Sure, some people say " but the Bible says God did 'this' and God did 'that'! " But when the Bible was written, they didn't have the scientific knowledge we have nowadays did they? And the writers of the Bible, although divinely inspired, were ordinary people. So they perhaps just had to explain the information in the best terms they had to hand, so that others would understand?
And as for "what am I? " Yes, sometimes knowing you belong to a particular group, with a particular set of beliefs, can be reassuring. But it isn't essential to have a name for your beliefs!
Just remember, like all of us, you are on a journey. But I think the most important thing that your question highlights is that, unlike many, you are walking with your eyes and mind open. And since God gave you a mind and presumably expects you to use it, that can only be a good thing!
Thank you for your question!

we're all in limbo, until we awaken...
to best answer this question we first need to explore the nature of reality - what is it, where does it come from...
we are all conscious beings; and quantum physics tells us that you cannot have a universe without mind entering into it; this implies that mind creates reality; ok fine;
so where did that (mind) come from;
the only possiblity that has been concieved of is: that we (mind) comes from a 'field' of pure potentialibity, or pure abstractness, or pure possibility. It is an intangible 'place' (really no place at all) that containes all the physical 'information' that makes up the universe, and everything in it. We come from the 'possibility if being' - such poor words to describe such a thing; but it is this possibility that gives us (conscious beings) the mind, and power to create an entire universe around us. Insofaras god is concerned, i think that the human mind holds this as an 'ideal being' which is meant to guide us in the direction of the greatest possibility of being. So, a being caught in the 'middle' of this all will be inclined to evolve, yet also, is complete (in terms of its eventuality). But for my part, we are all in the 'middle', and the 'middle', is heaven. And heaven, just like reality, is not only 'what this all is' : it is also what we make it to be...
this may be right or wrong - that is up to you to decide --- the only unanswered question that i have ever stumbled across is; "Why do we have the notion of choice within us?" We can choose to believe in anything we want... so there really are no answers --- maybe that is what we are all searching for...

Believing in God does not mean believing in the Bible as literal truth, and understanding science does not rule out a belief in God. Many people think that God simply created the force of life, rather than specific organisms, and left nature to take its course.
The Creation myth was written a long time ago, by people who were just trying to explain something they didn't understand. They had very little knowledge of science as we know it today, and simply didn't have all the information. Even when myths have been discovered to be false, they remain a powerful part of a culture.

I feel that GOD uses evolution, as GOD uses all the laws GOD has set up to operate the creations GOD made.
I see no reason to not be comfortable thinking/living outside the boxes people want you to be in. As no human knows GOD, why not combine everything into a blend and live happily knowing GOD is helping you/us grow into something very special.
56 years ago we knew so little about the laws GOD has in action everywhere, imagine in 50 years what we will learn about GODs creations.
"help please ... what am I?" you ask. Well about
Christian creation? These questers could use a valuable source of knowledge, if they are rude then they are not really looking to grow, so much as reinforcing their ignorance. If they insult you for giving - it hurts them, not you, as you are honestly giving of yourself, (thus growing in spirit), while they are closed off from understanding their own thirst for knowledge, due to imposed rules by intolerant leaders, thus loosing a chance to grow.
You fit in all questions you feel drawn to, why else did your spirit compel you to click the question, you have knowledge these questers need, I hope you courageously answer every question your spirit directs you toward. What are you other than a giving, helper of others? An example for others.

Yes, I have to say I am. And I'm OK with it. Sometimes one's beliefs aren't cut and dry. I believe life is a journey in which we are continually 'evolving'. I also believe that life started with the big bang and that we eventually evolved to who we are today, but it was all by a Creator's hand.
Just keeping searching for the truth, and I hope we'll both soon come to a place in time where everything fits into place

I'm not a Christian, but most mainstream Christians believe in evolution. They see the moment of divine creation as the Big Bang.
Many evolutionary scientists and physicists are Christians.
So don't worry about it. You can believe in a Creator and in evolution at the same time without any necessary contradiction.

Do you believe in Jesus Christ, if so you are a Christian, Jesus had issues with the religious types and the interpretation of the Old Testament so really there is no need to take a blind bit bof notice of the old testament.
God created the earth and set it to evolve, creating man along the way, then he sent Jesus to earth to try to stop the incessant fighting holding the human races development back.
If you believe in Jesus you are a Christian Fundamentalist like me,
Love thy neighbour, says the lord, personally I will pass cause I dont fancy her, but its more fun than Islam, like you can get stoned and have sex, not get stoned to death for having sex.

That is so cool because I think about that too! At least someone else is like me.
The way I began to realize it is that God made all of us, and maybe evolution is true- maybe we all came from one timy organism and evolved into what we are today.
If that is so, then something had to have made it happen. Even if Evolution is true, then God could have made Evolution happen.
All you have to do is have Faith in God and he will help you better understand things.
Hope that Helps :)

I find it hard to label myself these days, as soon as a label myself as something i feel obligated to stop asking questions that might contradict my 'label'. Luckely i chose the screen name 'Paradox' now i can do and ask whatever i want.
Evolution, creation, no one really knows where we came from. It's all just opinions, thoughts, ideas and beliefs. Some of it just makes more sense than others.
