Hey! Don't let anyone tell you can't do it! You need to inspire people...Make them feel like it's for a good cause and get support from buisiness..Start small, form a local charity ride ( that's tough enough) and go from there. Texas is a great place for a big time race, check out the Tour De Georgia, that's a great race! I believe Texas can do it better.I always wanted to organize something here in Jersey, keep me updated.Good luck!

You will need to inspire people. It is very unlikely that this could be achieved on your own. Gaining the following of the Le Tour will take time probably a life time.
If you find a good enough Gimmick you will start to win over people. I'm sure there is enough things in Texas to show case. If you add the right spin you should be able to get some politicians on side.
Don't let anyone tell you you can't. Most of man kinds greatest achievements have been completed by people that don't give up.
Le Tour started from very humble beginnings. There is no reason that this could not be duplicated.

Is that you, Bill ? If your last name isn't Gates, you have zero chance of doing anything close. Le Tour De France has been around for many years. And it's the #1 event as far as bicycle racing goes...

If you have the bucks and the contacts, you can make it happen.
Contact Andy Hollinger, he's president of the Texas Bicycle Racing Assoc.

In order to host something like that, there's sponsors, insurance, traffic control, and who knows what else. Your best bet would be to find an established race in the area, then talk to the race director about what's involved. I imagine it would be quite an undertaking, both timewise and financially.

Um, are you the president or a large bank or watch company like Credit Lyonnais or Festina? An event like this costs millions of dollars and takes ages to plan.

It would cost alot of money to host.Get your local businesses and council involved. Its good for country towns .Willunga and Mclarenvale just had ours and it brings in business for local shops. It can be done. You have a vision and now all you need is support.
