You shouldn't believe that. There are people who still believe that they are loved even though they are blatantly hated and openly disliked or avoided. You're the opposite. You must try to believe that somewhere in those words, there is truth.

And even if no one cares about you and your suspicions are right, why should it matter. You are you and you don't need to be loved to feel confident or strong. You need to believe in yourself without supporting yourself on outer approval, that's all. Just care about others even if they don't care about you and eventually the feeling will be rewarding.

There is in life a great divide among two groups. The outsiders and the winner-players. It is a fact that every outsider will eventually become depressed and have to solve this mystery of the groups. Why are majority in the winner group and a few are always shunned. Good luck in being a solver of mysteries. Don't expect this to be less than a lifetime problem.

I feel the same way. I have thought about it a long LONG time and I have come to a conclusion...you'll have to see if it fits for your case too.

I found that I am a selfish person, I want attention but then I feel bad for getting it. I somehow make people tell me they care about me, and that makes me feel good...but to keep that constant attention I say "no." Because I keep saying no...repition to the mind makes it register so I've made myself believe that they REALLY don't care. It's bizarre, but I've learned a lot in my years, that you really can make your mind do amazing things, even fool it to believe something else you in fact really don't...even as a simple mistake like I used to by saying "no one cares". Now I try to say, "Thank you, for caring, I appreciate that" than saying "no"...whether I believe it or not. I might just fool myself one of these days to believe that people really do care for me and that might cure me of my selfishness.

you may have been brought up in a negative environment possibly and alcoholic environment and have had your trust violated in your home so you may think if the ones that were suppose to love me didn't give me a safe loving environment then why would anybody else care. you may have been hurt to many times and now you are scorned.

It is because of your expectation of love and care from others. We cannot expect more from others.

Be happy... every where there is a limit for every thing.
