I've been to plenty of them. But out of curiosity, what makes people come to a party. I wanna throw a good one. But basically, what would someone have to tell you to get you to a party.

What makes a good party is the overall popularity of the person hosting the party. The more popular the host---the more people are likely to come. Everyone responds the same way. If the host
is popular they will say, "oh, yes. I will definitely be there." If the host is not popular they will say, "Who's throwing the party? Who is that?"
So popularity will draw them now how do you keep them? Having the best music (sound system), beverages (your choice), and good food.
In addition, to these things a "theme" party is a great idea. Use your imagination come together with some other friends and host the best party ever.

Personally what attracts me is if the person that throws the party know every body and if they make a cool invetaion like saying you can't do this you can't do that. But people would just go to break those rules. And good music and were your hosting your party at!

Depending on the age, most likely it would be free alcohol. Also the promise of plenty of people there so it won't be awkward. It's very often the promise of seeing people you don't always get a chance to see very often and people who you want to see. If there's a lot of people and free alcohol, it will be nice and casual and fun will be had by all.
If you are younger, still plenty of people. Girlies for the boys and boys for the girls. Limited parental supervision is also good.

the type of party, whos gonna be there? if you are well liked and have a good time bein you than people will come,. just make sure your party isn't around some big event. and make sure people will be able to go

the fact that it's a party....you know what i like? Live bands!!! they're a lot of fun a parties especially if the bass player is hot

people feel comfortable, well fed, warm, good music maybe, predictability, change of scenery, no one gets hurt and nothing gets broken.

sometimes the people wonder who is all going to be there...the alcohol..the food. sometimes they just want to get out...maybe b/c they want to see all the people .. maybe friends
