the chinese language doesn't have letters. it has symbols for words. and i'm pretty sure they don't have a word "montis" sorry. you could go with korean because they do have an alphabet it's called "hangul" but why do you want to get a name tattooed on you in a language that you have no ancestral connection to?

Just to let you know ahead of time....Chinese don't have an alphabet....the names are usually words that are used to express a characteristic of the person.....my name was chosen by my grandparents and my parents at birth - just like my American name. I would not recommend getting your name in Chinese - especially if you don't speak or don't have anything to check it against - and if you were to go into a tattoo studio, I would double check the characters they have posted because I've also seen a guy that had a whole sentence on his back and they told him it was his name but since there is no alphabet in Chinese, he has a random sentence on his back and has no clue what it means now.....was very funny when my roomate and I saw it but I feel bad for him because he has that on his back for the rest of his life.

:)

sorry guys you are wrong. unless the shop has someone that speaks AND writes chinese you will be outta luck. most all shops have stuff like, rat, power, luck, love, monkey. no last names. especially non chinese last names.you can either find a college kid that speaks it or pay for an online site to translate it for you. do a search on yahoo. not too expensive. just know that you will be getting a kinda translation. meaning 1.symbol for letter "M" 2. symbol for letter"O" and so on. spelling the word. but chinese people will be like "wha tha helw dat say?"
