My last girlfriend is with this guy Trent and she keeps telling me that she wants to be with me, then everytime she has a chance to leave him she says she can't. I keep thinking there's something wrong with me, but she always says it's not you it's me. We were in love a few months ago, then she leaves me for him. He treats her really badly and then she says she realized what she had so she makes me believe that we'll be together, but like I said she won't leave him. I can't help but think it's just me... I don't really know what I'm asking, I just want to understand why this is happening to me.

Don't try to be perfect. That's the first problem. If she really wanted to be with you then: (a) she wouldn't have left in the first place, and (b) she would've come back to you by now. If she really wanted to be with you, she would've found a way by now.
She thought the grass was greener with the other guy for whatever reason, now she realizes what she lost, but you need to let her know that she made her decision and it's too late.
Listen to her when she says that it's not you, it's her. And if you take her back, she'll do it again. You need to try to get back on the scene and find someone deserving of you. It'll be hard to do, but once you move on you'll realize that you made the best decision for you.

The only person that can make that choice is her.
Perhaps you should try to find somebody else, waiting for a girl that doesnt seem to want to leave another guy is not good enough for you. You can still keep in touch with her but you have to stay open for new possibilities. I wish you the best luck honey. Im in a similar situation now and I know its hard. I hope everything turns out just fine for you.

Your being walked all over. Your being a weasel. She knows that she can come back to you and you will be there. She knows she can play the "it's just me" pitty routine so you can feel sorry for her and let her come back to you and then leave again. She is playing games. If she really wanted to be with you ONLY, then she would be with you ONLY. She can say what she wants but actions speak louder than words. Now, does that sound like it would be your fault or think that its' you?? NOT. The best thing you can do is leave her. You'll see. She will come running, if you stand your ground because she will not expect that from you. Women like the "bad boys". The good guys, in their minds, will always be there for them. Good luck to you. It sounds like she is just stringing you along by saying those things she knows will keep you spellbound and, at the same time, staying with her buyfriend. Actions speak louder than words, my friend. About the only thing that will spark any real interest in this kind of girl is to leave her alone, from my experience. Then she will do what she has to to keep stringing you along You are better off without someone who would manipulate you like that.

If she wants to be with you so badly, there is no way she cant dump her boyfriend especially as he is such a jerk to her. It seems like she wants you to be a comfort to her and need you badly as a friend. But in terms of love, she has it only for her boyfriend. I understand why you are kind of frustrated, you just needed to talk and let it out. If she cant see the good in you, move on. Pray that she will be happy. You are just better off without her cos you wouldnt want to be engaged with such relationship. Life has ups and downs, it is part of human in this world. Have faith in the Lord who knows whats best for you.

baby, when a girl acts like that she just wants you around as "the back up plan". It's not you. It is totally her and don't you dare stand for that #@!*. You are better than that. She just dangling the hope of you 2 getting back together in front of you because it makes her feel sooooooooo good about herself to know you will put up with all that just at the meer chance of getting back together. You will find the girl that needs to be in your life when you start giving yourself more credit. Be good to yourself

Unfortunately a lot of women like to be treated badly by their men. Has to do with their inner feelings about themselves, a lack of self confidence, thinking I am only worthy to be treated this way. Also, arseholes are 'exciting'.
Don't try to be perfect...be yourself. Trying to be perfect is a sure way to lose a woman. You come over as being false.
She may wake up one day, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

There is nothing wrong with you. You just need to face the fact that she is not sure of anything and you do not need that in your life. Go on with your life and date other girls. If she leaves this guy and shows you she really cares then try it.

It's happening because YOU are allowing it to happen. You're letting her use you like a puppet. She's pulling all of your emotional strings to pull you along and keep you around for her convenience. She left you, so let her go. Stop chasing her and find a new interest.

It's not you it's her she prefers to be treated badly and there is nothing you can do about it except move on, maybe when you are not around to talk to she will see the light.
