how do i know if she likes me?

Here is my problem. I know this girl since high school. And I like her but I don’t know if she is just seeing me as a big brother. The problem is she is so hard too talk too. When I would call her she never answers her phone. And I fell that she’s trying to avoid me. But when I call her some times she picks up the phone and we talk. Also I would go there and spend time with her. But it’s once in a while. The problem is she is very hard to contact. But when we talk everything is great. We are good friends. So I am wondering if she is trying too avoid me. Also she just had a baby and she put me as the godfather. So I can’t call her house because I don’t want to wake up the baby and Christmas Eve she invited me too her family also I waited for hours at the hospital I was always there for her. She lives with her parents and now when I call she doesn’t answer. I always been there for her and I like her a lot. But I have a feeling she don’t like me. I was wondering if she looking at me as a big brother friend. She also single because a guy screw her over. He ran away from the baby. So I am just very confused. And I was thinking of, if I can’t talk with her and she only picks up the phone when she wants too. I can only visit when she wants are her parent’s want how can I be the godfather? How can I know if there is anything going here? And myself I am a very shy person so its hard for me too talks to girls. What can I does it really suck?
