As a teacher, I like to include video's in my instruction. Youtube had lots of educational and historic content. But I need to embed them into PowerPoint! Is there a step-by-step process or a free download that does this?

The files streamed on Youtube are in Flash Video Format. .FLV

To save the .flv files from youtube, you should use a website called YoutubeX, or similar. You copy & paste the link you wish to save, into a bar on Youtube X. Now you'll have an .FLV file saved to your hard drive. There are programs out there that can convert .flv to .mpg format. Once you have an .mpg file, you can use Windows Media Encoder to convert to .WMV.

you may't import youtube video clips into living house windows action picture Maker. in case you're trying a window will pop up declaring"living house windows action picture Maker can no longer import this record because that is in a format living house windows action picture Maker would not understand. living house windows action picture Maker can no longer play FLV information so that you'll't make a video out of FLVs.

I don't think it can be done. YouTube has it's own flash player which prevents access to the actual file of the video.
