Thyroid problems are usually very treatable. I'm not sure if you are referring to hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, or thyroid cancer. If you have a thyroid disorder, you will be treated for it by your primary physician or an endocrinologist. Or you can choose not to be treated. Otherwise, I don't know what you mean by "what if".
