You can try using what is known as a Citronella collar. They can be bought or in some cases rented from Animal Welfare agencies (such as the RSPCA in Australia). When the dog barks, citronella is released from a container in the collar which usually causes the dog to stop barking. The idea is that the dog soon realises that its barking is causing the citronella to be released and so stops its barking. Works with most dogs. Once the dog stops barking there is no need for the collar. Citronella is the product used to keep insects away in open areas. It is harmless to dogs and humans and can be bought cheaply at hardware stores.

Well you actually have a couple choices on what you can do... When he/she barks you can firmly say NO.... You can try a mussle which that has worked if they have never had a mussle they will probably be alittle scared so when they bark say no and then put the mussle on him/her:) If you wanted to use another techniqe you can try the Dog Collar(Shock Collar) Yes it does work. When they start to bark it will give him/her alittle shock:) This will make your dog catch on really fast I would try that if I were you... They have different levels for the shock so you can set it to whatever is best for you:) Good Luck:)

They make sound activated shock collars for dogs. The dog barks and it beeps. The dog barks again and it gives a harmless shock. Most dogs learn to quiet down.

i stoped my neighbors dog with an air horn.
you can do it with a pop can filled with stones or pennies.
when the dog barks shake the can and say no, bad dog.
BUT you have to do it EVERY TIME!
