Should we invest in technology to improve the human body for tasks that could change the fate of our existence

Anyone seen the movie equilibrium? YES! it's purely fiction, but wouldn't we be better off, not having our primitive instincts to better society and life in general?

Well, of course we should invest in technology for the improvement of our bodies as humans. I mean, finding cures for certain diseases and maybe even the aging of the human body to virtually live forever would be fate-changing, would it not? Of course, there should be limits, but we go as far as our imaginations can take us. So yes.. we should look into that.
