You say "unwanted" do you mean that you want to sell them or just get money loaned on them? If you don't want them back, sell or trade them. I don't know where you are but in California there are many places to sell and trade old cd and dvds. In AZ there is "Bookman's", where you can even trade for almost anything!
In many cities there are used cd and dvd stores and again trading is the best way to go. "Hastings" in many Texas towns is another but they don't give much for used cd or dvd stock. As for what you can pawn for money and the expectation to get it back, most newer tools, cameras, DVD and CD players/recorders,
musical instruments, jewlery, old valuble anything includeing rare 33 rpm records and collectables.
I agree with all the others that say to go ebay! You have millions of people who want to buy from you!

Ebay... people buy old dvds and cds off there all the time. You know at Walmart when you can buy a movie and there is another one attached for free? We always get those since it's the same price as buying the movie regular. I put five of the "free" movies on Ebay and got 45 bucks for them... not bad considering they had all been opened and watched. Also I found some old cassettes around there house .. there were 25 of them and I got 52.00~~ Not too shabby for stuff I was just going to throw out anyway

Try selling them on Amazon. If they are something people want they will sell, since you don't want them anymore. I have sold plenty that way, you should list them and they email you when they sell.
