Teens should wait. With sex you take risks of diseases, pregnancies, etc. When you're a teen you want to be saddled with all those responsibilities and pressures. Once you are a bit mature and can understand the consequences of having sex, then its better.

if you're old enough to know what sex is and be able to know all the facts in order to make an informed decision, then that is your choice. if you are going to run around and talk about it with all your friends, then obviously you are not ready. it's a personal thing that does not need to be shared. The age changes all the time. If we look back in history, girls used to be having babies back when they were 12. in the late 19th century, they had them anywhere from age 14-19, depending on their class and stuff. now we have laws that you can't even have sex until you're 16 in some states, 18 in others. We are biologically maturing faster. girls are starting to get their period and develop their girl parts in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. with development like that, it's hard to still act like a child. it's conflicting being a child in an adults body. you don't know if you're a child or an adult. kids try adult things because they feel they are mature. whether they really are or not is the real question. I think that if you can handle physically, emotionally, and financially, the things that could go wrong (i.e. unwanted pregnancy's, STD's, etc) then you are ready. it's personal and should not be dictated to you because of what someone else believes.

If you have real moral values, you'll wait until your wedding night. And I think the youngest marriage age should be 18.

It all depends on the level of maturity and knowing the consequences of having sex. One slip-up could change your life forever.

Being a conservative Christian, I think the only time you SHOULD have sex is in a marriage relationship.
