I received 2 e-mails from 2 different people who I know about that if you're robbed at a bank machine. Basicly it said, if you enter your PIN backwards, the machine reconizes it and the police get dispatched. The robber will still get the money but the police will be on their way. Is this true?

Although this is a great idea it is currently nothing more than urban legend. A system called SafetyPIN which would have operated on this principle was patented several years ago, but the banking industry has not bought into it and I am unaware of any place where this system is currently being used.

I believe that's probably a myth...and I agree with the person above me -- what if it's the same number repeated? ATMs wouldn't recognize the difference.

Ive heard this as well. It might not be true but its probably worth a try. If you have doubts you should probably ask your bank

What I don't understand is why people don't do a question search before they type in their question. If you would have typed it in you would have seen that this has been answered a gazillion times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
