With satellite radio it is not as clear as a CD and can have a lower base than normal. Try adjusting your base.

Dont know why it happened after you installed you satilite radio but the popping means your speaker is blown. There is a little rubber ring around the outside of your speaker that lets it move in and out this is probably torn. Or one of the power wires to the back of the speaker could have broken off, if this is the one all you have to do is solder it back together and all should be well. If the rubber piece is torn you'll have to buy a new speaker.

If they pop, or make a kind of knocking sound when you turn them up then no your spearers are not broken, and you just need to adjust the equaliser/ sound settings , lower the low frequency amplification and turn down the bass! You could benefit with better speakers if your headunit is aftermarket, and your speakers are OEM.
