We suffer the most horrible pain ever and nothing can put us out of it, physical, and emotional pain, the equivilant to having your heart broken by a woman YOU LOVE, and having your body set on fire (Equivilant, we wont have bodies), and we suffer like this for all eternity. What if? Its scary. I hope i wont finish forever.

I fail to see how an eternity of unimaginable torment could be bad.

Think about it: you define your experience by context. If you stare into the sun long enough, soon that becomes all you can see (don't try this at home). And you see it better than others because they are too sensitive to perceive the subtle gradations that you do.

This is the way the human mind works. Someone who's never been to Disneyland gapes at all the sights around him, while someone who works there usually fails to even notice most of them. Why should Hell (or Heaven!) be any different?

Even if what some hypothesize is true - that a sensation so intense occurs that it wipes out all possibility of respite - then that is saying nothing more than that -I- won't exist in the next life. Only a sensation of pain will exist. For that to be me, it would have to have my faculties and capabilities, which an unending sensation of pain without the ability to do or experience anything else would not.

So either way, I don't see anything to worry about. Either I acclimatize to Hell and it's no big deal, or I end up failing to exist (a bummer, but also not as big a deal as some would make it out to be).

It certainly would be terrible but do you really think a just and loving god would really allow that? Hell is a form of control that is forced on some peoples thought processes and can do a lot of harm. You have to see through to what is important in religion if you want to believe. A personal god could be important or only living a good and moral life. Don´t buy into the idea of hell and the guilt complex because in the end it really is a sort of abuse.

I found your analogy of having your heart broken with the most horrible emotional pain possible very interesting. If that's as bad as the emotional pain gets, I could live with that.

And God looks down from heaven and says, "I love each and every one of them. My love is limitless. How sad to see them burning forever."

And what if Christians all die and find out that only atheists are allowed into Heaven? Or if we all end up in Heaven? Or if there is no Heaven at all but some kind of different existence? What if there is no "judgement" at all?

I'd imagine that a lot of very smug Christians would be horrified.

the question is...Where will you spend eternity? Remember that there is eternity and it is certain.in the second place, remember you must spend that eternity somewhere. The time will never come when you cease to exist. It is possible for us to know where we shall spend eternity.Jesus knew where He would spend eternity. He said, "I go ...to Him that sent me" (John 16:5).Paul knew where he would spend eternity...."having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ, which is far better (Phil.1:23) We will spend eternity in one to two places..In Heaven or in Hell.Heaven is a place of Holiness, happiness and love while Hell is a place of violence, misery and hate.
Where you spend eternity will be determined by what you do with Jesus Christ. If you accept Him as your Lord and Saviour you will spend eternity with Him.If you reject Jesus Christ you will spend eternity away from Him.
My friend where are you going?

No only the Christians there is going to be a glitch in judgment. They are going to be sentenced to hell by mistake. They will be directed to take the wrong door and they wont be able to get back. OO

Souls don't have nerve-endings to perceive pain. If was going to suffer eternally after death, then I'd just have to make this life as pleasurable as possible to balance it out, wouldn't I?

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

I'm not worried about hell. Hell had better be worried about me because I'm one in the Body of Christ, seated in heven in Him, and fearfully and wonderfully made. God is my King, source, provider, protecter, healer, deliverer, and the lover of my soul! I have no worries for myself but there are many who I'm deeply concerned about because they do not have the same revelation of the truth as I!

This will only happen if you don't believe in God, or ascribe partners with him and/or do more bad deeds than good.

God is oft-forgiving, most-merciful
