AT&T offers a service called "Privacy Manager".
It is specifically designed to block "Unknown", "Private", "Unavailable" & "Out of Area" calls from coming through unidentified.
Privacy Manager intercepts the caller before your phone even rings.
If the caller chooses to identify himself, Privacy Manager rings your line. If they don't identify themselves your phone will never ring.
When you answer, you hear the caller's name and you can choose to ACCEPT, DECLINE or play a SALES CALL REFUSAL instructing them to add you to their Do Not Call list and then hangs up on them.
You can also set up a PIN Number and give to friends/family who can then enter it and bypass the wait if they are "Out of Area".

If its an unknown number you cant *69 it. I don't know if calling and blocking your number is illegal, but you can choose to not answer the phone when it shows as the unknown. Sometimes though, numbers don't pick up on the id, and this could be a number you see all the time, so you could miss a very important phone call. Some job companies depending on the ext. do not grant permission for that number to be seen when calling, but have a local line you can contact them from.
This person seems to be angry. do you live with someone, has any of you pissed someone off?....called off an affair?....denied someone?....think about it narrow it down and see. But other than tht just stop answering, you're feeding the fire....
good luck

If it is seriously bothering you and they are doing it frequently like every day it is considered as prank calling and is harrassment, you can get caller Id or go to the local police station and tell them about and it and they can possibly put a trap on your phone so you can charge whoever is doing it. I would listen for a minute or so though and see if it isnt billing or telemarketing because they take forever to answer. Whenever someone prank calls here I sit on the line until they hang up, its a lot more annoying to them if you dont say anything after hello and sit there.

Well have you had a fight with any women lately. Some phones can be programmed to call another phone and give an Unknown Caller. If all else fails, you will have to call the phone company and tell them you are being harassed.

Unfortunately there is no stopping it . I get it to . Most likely they are telemarketers and they are not connecting with your phone like right away . I know you can get a telemarketer zapper or something were they cannot get through without leaving who it is then you have the option t answer or not . You will have to do more research on this . I am sure if you call your phone company they can tell you exactly what that thing is where they have to leave a name and stuff .

I get these calls all the time, I don't know of anything you can do, I have my name on the do not call list ,it doesn't help. I usually pick the phone up and hang up on them, or let the answering machine get it. They never leave a message.

Probably someone with a grudge, I wouldn't worry about it, but they are probably just using *67 to mask their name. I think if you call your local police department, NOT as an emergency, and file under harrassing phone calls, you may be able to do something.

We get those too---not sure it could be a telemarketer...althought Id think they would speak to you. Just dont answer the phone when you see unknown caller--unavailable-or blocked call. It is very annoying to get those calls.

Is this happening on your cell phone or your land phone? If it's on your land phone, you can contact your phone service provider and request that they block unknown calls. If it's happening on your cell, you are pretty much out of luck. I ended up having to change my cell phone number because of this problem.
